The bar chart below presents data collected worldwide in January 2023, highlighting which age groups watched YouTube the most.
Overall, there is a clear dominance of 25–34-year-olds, who engaged with YouTube more frequently than other age groups. In contrast, the 18 to 24 and 35 to 44 age groups displayed a similar level of lower interest in the platform. Furthermore, individuals aged 45 and older were notably less active on YouTube.
The 25–34 age group comprised 20% of the total YouTube users, marking the highest percentage among all demographic groups. Following them, users aged 18 to 24 accounted for 16%, and the same percentage applied to those aged 35 to 44.
Among the remaining age groups, 12% of users were aged 45, while the least active users were those between 55 and 64 years old, representing only 8% of the platform’s audience. Additionally, users aged 65 and older made up just over that figure, at around 9%.
