The bar diagram depicts the quantum of divorces occurring among the married population during the years 2011 to 2015 in two different countries in Europe namely Finland and Sweden. The unit is measured in Percentage.
Overall, it is evident that the rate at which divorces happen has been high in Sweden than that of Finland except for the Year 2015. At least one-third of the married couples in both the nations have divorced every year.
The number of divorces taking place in Finland has followed a haphazard trend, peaking in the years 2014 and 2015 accounting over 40%. It was relatively low during the initial years with the lowest ever recorded during the year 2012 which was just over 1/3rd of the couples.
The amount of divorces happening in Sweden has always been above 40% each year (except for the year 2015) with the highest rate of nearly half the percentage of married couples in the year 2012. After reaching the maximum count, the number of divorces taking place follows a downfall with the least divorces occurring in the year 2015 with just above 35%
