The chart above illustrates the calculated literacy level by gender in six regions for the last year.
Overall, people who lived in South Asia, whether it’s male or female, had the biggest percentage of literacy level between those five other locations. On the other end of the scale, the developed countries’ citizens had the smallest number of literacy rates. However, there is a common pattern shown, which was that females across all of the six districts had a higher number of literacy rates compared to the male.
Generally, females had the bigger percentage of writing and reading rates in all of the regions shown. For instance, females in Arab States had about 53%, while the male just 28% of literacy rates.
The lowest percentage of people’s literacy rates is held by the developed countries with 2% for male and 4% for females. Their literacy level has not even reached 25%, which was the average rate of those six regions. On the other side, South Africa hit the biggest percentage in reading ability rates for both of their male and female data.
