The chart illustrates the portion of British people (children, men and women) that ate five portion of fruit and vegetable per day between 2001 and 2008. Units are measured in percentages.
Overall, what stands out from the chart is that most of the fruits and vegetables were eaten by women and least by children. It is also noticeable that a quantity of people that were eaten fruits and vegetables grew considerably.
With regard to women, in 2001 about 23 portion ate fruits and vegetables five times a day. From 2001 to 2005 the share went up and in 2006 reached a peak at 35 percentages. However, by the end the proportion slightly decreased to 30.
Regarding men and children, at the start the percentage were aproximately 18 and 13 respectively, in addition between 2001 and 2003 remained unchaged. However, in 2004 the portion started to rise markedly. Additionally, in 2006 men reached a peak about 28 and in 2007 children almost 27. Although, by the end share of men and children dropped gently to about 26 and aproximately 24 respectively.
