Overall it can be observed that Asia had the highest production rate in the year 1840, while the rest of the continents had the least. Europe had a consistent increase in the total production from 1840 till 1920, on the contrary Asia had a consistent decline.
Asia had hit the bottom during 1920s at a production rate of 20%. The production was then gradually increasing every fourty years with a slight decline in the year 2000. Europe had a slight decline after the year 1920.
Initially, the rest of the world was producing 10% of the total production. Over the years this rate had rapidly increasing and hit a plateu near 35%. In the year 1960, all of them were producing almost at the same rate. Europe had the most balanced rates over the years without any huge differences.
