The given chart showcases how many people in different age ranges chose three media sources to receive daily news in the year 2011.
Overall, people aged 18 and over favored accessing daily news via Radio, while their younger counterparts (10-17) preferred Social networking. Also of note is that Microblogging was the least attractive daily news source to be chosen across all of the examined media.
To elaborate, over 90% of people aged 18-29 opted for Radio, making it the most attractive to those users; however, this was only true for a mere 40% of their younger group (10-17). Additionally, a similarity was recorded in the proportion of people aged between 10-17 and 18-29 favoring Social networking, at an impressive 80%. Meanwhile, 20% of people aged 10-17 chose Microblogging, compared to 25% in the figures for 18-29.
Regarding the older age groups (30 and over), the percentage of people choosing Radio remained the highest, at over 85%; however, Social networking was less popular among the 30-49, 50-64 and 65+ age brackets, ranging from 20% to 50%. Finally, Microblogging ranked the last in the entire graph, with all three age groups having the data under 20%.
