Precipitation In Hot Desert Climate Grasslands In 1980 and 2000
As we can see from the graph, the months that got the most precipitation in hot desert climate grasslands changed from may and april to july, august and november between 1980 and 2000. The highest rain in a month decreased from about 330 mm to 53 mm. 2000’s month that got the least precipitation was may and april and it was about 47 mm, about 120 mm lower than 1980’s least rainy month.
Looking at the table, there is a bigger difference between 1980’s highest and lowest raining month with about 170 mm difference compared to 2020’s with 6 mm. Overall, colder months having generally high rain percentage didn’t change, however, highest raining months have shifted from spring to summer.
In conclusion, the average precipitation per year decreased in those 20 years by about an enormous 75% and the months that got the most and the least rain changed.
