The bar chart illustrates the percentage of world illiteracy rates in six regions and by gender for the previous year.
Overall,it can be noticeable that females in three regions had a lack of knowledge compared to males.However,in developed countries there were less people who had inability to read or write.
To begin with,almost 60 percent of females were unaware,while men had approximately 35 percent.In South Asia,In Arab states and Sub-Saharan Africa the proportion of women was at around 50%,whereas men had 20% less than women in these two regions (approximately 30%).
Therefore,in developed countries,Latin America (Caribbean) and East Asia(Oceania) there was less percentage of illiteracy in comparison to other three regions.In details,females from Oceania reached to 20% and 8% of male.In Caribbean,both genders had almost the same percentage 10%.Furthermore,in developed countries had almost the same percentage 1,5 percent,it was remained as the most knowledgeable place in the world.
