The bar chart depicts the number of constracted houses in city, from 1999 to 2002.

Overall, numbers for detached house dominated throughtout the period, reaching the highest figure in 2002. Despite the construction of terrace house lagged behind, it increased compared to the number of semi-detached houses and flats that declined.

Looking at the categories that eperienced growth, detached house rose steadily from nearly 1700 in 2002 to around 2200 by 1999. Additioanally, numbers for detached house recorded the highest numbers although stayed constant in 2000 and 2001. The similar pattern was seen in terrace house which also went up gradually from roughly 1000 to approimately 1300, in 2002 but compared to detached house it accounted the lowest numbers.

In contrast, Semi-detached house and flats eperienced a decline over the period. The number of semi-detached house fell from 1700 in 2002 to 1200 by the end of the timeframe. Likewise the construction of flats declined from nearly 1500 to 800, by the same period, making it the least common type of housing by the end of the period.
