Overall, while the birth rate of three nations namely- India, Thailand, and Spain has decreased over the time, in Somalia there has been a surprising case, as the birth rate saw a gradual growth. Birth rate in Mexico remained stable over the three decades.

In 1970, India and Thailand had the highest birth rate, around 5 births per woman. Mexico, Spain, and Somalia were close with approximately 3 births per mother.

In 2000, the birth rate in India and Thailand decreased significantly, going from 5 births per woman to 3 and 2 kids respectively. The birth rate in Spain also saw a decrease as it came down to approximately 1 kid per mother, whereas the birth rate in Mexico remained the same at 3.
