The bar graph illustrates the outcome of the research conducted in 2020 on the critical elements to be considered when purchasing a vehicle in America.
Overall, people planning to buy a car considered its fuel efficiency and safety as the highest priority while the preferred maker and model was the least thought of.
The conducted study in 2020 showed that, in the decision-making process on acquiring an automobile, over 65% of American residents heavily considered that the most important element is the car’s fuel efficiency and safety. Following closely with less than 60%, the second vital factor is the quality of the vehicle. Subsequently, design, affordable price, comfort level, everyday driving suitability, good warranty and customer service garnered an average of under half of the percentage of elements to be considered. Moreover, a little above one-third of buyers prefer that their automobile has spacious interiors which is almost 50% less than the value for a car’s safety. Lastly, a car’s maker and model is the factor that US citizens care the least about, with 3 out of 10 people preferring it over others.
