Based on the graph, it can be seen that Japan has the highest number of hospital beds among other countries. Providing approximately 4 beds per 1000 people. Followed by Germany, which provide around 8 per thousand of the population. On the other hand, US provides the fewest hospital beds, nearly around 3 per thousand people.
Looking at the table, although Japan’s healthcare expenditure is the lowest, it has a higher life expectancy than the Netherlands and US with a life expectancy of 83 years. Unlike the US, which spends about twice as much as Japan, yet its citizens only reach an average og 78.
To summarise, despite lower healthcare spending, Japan provide substantial number of hospital beds that contribute to higher life expectancy.
