Overall, the number of births was steady and then increased sharply while deaths fluctuated before returning to their original level.
There was a small disparity between the figures for births and deaths from 1975 to 1995. The statistics for births were equal in 1975 and 1985, whereas that for deaths experienced a slight rise. However, the former and the latter increased gradually until 1995. After a sudden surge in the number of births in 2005 it continued to rise steadily for another 10 years to reach a high of just below 3 million. In contrast, there was a significant drop in 2005 for the number of deaths, which was followed by another drop in 2015.
In 2025, The graph predicts the rate of birth continue to increase and that of death will reach the same level as it was in 1975.
