From an overall perspective, the number of the dogs, combined with the birds and reptiles gotten from an animal rescue center experienced a downward trend, albeit with varying levels. Of particular note is the number of the cats acquired rose consistently to become the dominant pets in this category.
Following a growth from approximately 210 animals to above 400 pets, the number of the cats rescued went up, reaching roughly 510 pets in 1994. This figure thin climbed slightly, hitting a peak of estimated 650 animals at the ned of the period.
After showing a downward trend from below 600 animals to about 480 pets between 1990 and 1992, the number of the dogs acquired dropped, hitting roughly 410 animals in 1994. This figure then remained unchanged untill the conclusion of the period, with 400 pets. Beginning at around 120 animals, the number of the birds and reptiles given home dipped marginally, stayed stable untill the year 2000, when it reached a lowest of 100 pets by the close of the period.
