The bar chart illustrates data about the actual and expected numbers of population of three cities, namely Jakarta, Sao Paulo, and Shanghai in 1999 and 2000.
Overall, it can be seen that the population figures in all three cities rose and showed higher numbers than the predicted numbers. The population level of Sao Paulo had the highest figure, while Jakarta experienced a slower number across three cities.
Initially, the number of residents in Sao Paulo stood at approximately 17 millions in 1999, making it the highest figure among three cities. By 2000, the figure showed a surge to around 24 millions, which was predicted to be at about 22 millions. In contrast, the overall people’s number of Shanghai was initially at about 13 millions in 1999. In the following year, the figure rose considerably to 15 millions, which was forecasted to be lower than the number in 1999.
Turning to Jakarta’s population number, the figure accounted for about 8 millions and was predicted as higher(at around 11 millions). However, the number of people increased from roughly 8 millions to about 13 millions by 2000.
