The bar chart show data about the percentage of the adults who were overweight in four countries in the years 1980, 1990 and 2000 respectively.
Overall, the four countries presented an increase on the tendency regarding the percentage of people with overweight. However Britain and the Untied States had the most signficant growth over the decades.
In 1980, Japan was below the 5%, whereas Sweden was roughly over the 5%. On the other hand, Britain had almost hit the 10%. Nonetheless, the US with more than 15%, it had already surpassed the three countries by almost the double or triple amount.
By 1990, the countries with the biggest gap compared to the previous decade were Britain and the US with over 10% and 20% respectively.
As for the year 2000, three countries had an abrupt increase. Starting with Sweden, that for the first time, passed the 10%. Furthermore, Britain had an increase of almost 10%, and finally, the US reached the range of the 30%.
