The two bar charts illustrate the average protein and calories intake of people in India, East Africa, Latin America and North America. Protein intake is divided in to animal protein and other protein source.
Overall, North America had the highest intake of both protein and calories, while India consumed the least. Animal protein was significantly was higher than other protein sources across all regions.
Looking at protein consumption, North America recorded the highest intake of animal protein at 62 grams, compared to only 18 grams of other proteins. Latin America ranked second, with 32 grams of animal and 13 gram of other protein. Both East Africa and India showed similar level of other protein consumption at 15 grams. However, East Africa consumed slightly more animal protein 16 grams than India 13 grams.
In terms of calories intake, North America led with an average of 3,400 calories, followed by Latin America approximately 2,800 calories. East Africa had a slightly higher intake than India, consuming just over 2,000 calories while India had exactly 2,000 calories.
