The chart below illustrates the average emissions per person in the United Kingdom, Sweden, Italy and Portugal between 1967 and 2007.
The y axis epresses the CO2 emissions in metric tonnes and the X axis expresses the years and the distance beteen two points on the x axis is 10 years gap.
First we will notice that the highest country is United Kingdom because it is consumption is very high between the durations that the data showing it and make us realise that in 1967 the use of cars caused more than 11 CO2 emissons but this chart or line derceased with the time to reach the lowest mark in the history of UK at the 2007 year by 9 CO2 emissions, on the other hand you will notice that is not the same for Portugal, which was considered the lowest country in this study by 1 CO2 emissions; But the things change in the 2007 for Portugal which the CO2 waste increased 5 times more than 1967 to reach the 5 Co2 emission bar and this propably due to the increase in cars number.
Italy although follow the steps of Portugal becuase Italy also was cosidered one of the lowest country in 1967 by 4 CO2 emissions and this increased during the time to reach in 2007 7 CO2 emission margin and I think that not only caused by cars but additionally to the factories, Italy is known for most famous cars brands and this factories are located in Italy.
Finally the positive point in this research is Sweeden, becuase the Sweeden lin fluctuated all along the and especially during 1967 to 1987 but then it is stable, the change during 1967 to 1987 caused that CO2 emission to reaches it’s peak to 11 Co2 emission and that due to cold war and the revolution of hippies and culturel changes, But after the 1987 the Sweeden realise that if they continued on the same path it will harm their enviroment, So they worked hard to downgrade the emission and you can say that they reach their goal in 2007 to reach the 5 CO2 emission margin.
