The chart below shows how the most famous brands of mobile phones sold their products in the years of 2009, 2011, and 2013.

In those years Samsung and Nokia supplied most of the mobile market; Nokia used to be bestseller until 2013 when Samsung overtook its place. The other three brands weren’t that successful, but Apple increased its sales among them.

By comparing the progress of these five companies, it’s obvious that Samsung started from selling approximately 200 million In 2009 and learned to double it within 4 years.

The other developing company was Apple, which was only a startup in 2009, but gradually raised its sales up to 150 million.

In contrast, Nokia was the most well-known manufacturer in 2009 and 2011, supplying about 900 million people with phones, but like LG it lost clients when other competitors took name. ZTE, the fifth most famous company in the world, didn’t make so much progress, and even in 2013, the year when most people used phones, it didn’t manage to sell as much as LG in its bad days.
