The presented line chart compares and contrasts the amount of spare time in a typical week based on two main genders in terms of different employment and status namely full-time employees, part time employed, unemployed, retired and housewives. Generally, it is salient that the amount of female leisure time showed a higher figure compared to that of male regarding all employment and status. Surprisingly, there was no presence of male in the part-time employees and housewives pattern during the weekly period.
Commencing with male spare time, despite the less in total amount of leisure time, the patterns for male weekly free time, in the three categories they involved, witnesses a greater statistic in comparison with that of female. With around 85 hours per week, the figure of male unemployees was the top position of all others patterns for both genders, followed by 84 hours weekly retired male. The nearly 45 hours of full time employed male experienced the smallest statistic, almost 2 times lower than that of the highest figure.
Moving to female patterns, unemployed and retired women share a relatively similar statistic with around 79 hours, which is also together the most significant amount of leisure time among other female categories. With nearly 39 hours, full-time female employees marked to be a minor statistic, resembled that of full-time male employees. Housewives and part-time women employees were the two categories that engaged only females, with 50 hours for the former and 40 hours for the latter. Simultaneously, this line chart at large depicts the differences in the amount of free time between employed and unemployed workers, the more they took part in a job, the less leisure time they can have.
