Overall, most teenagers spend less than three hours on games and social media on average each day.

25 percent of boys and girls spend less than an hour chatting on the internet but more than 35 percent of girls waste between 1 and 3 hours of their time talking, while the percentage of boys who spend more than one hour is much less(25%). Also, almost 10 percent of girls spend more than 4 hours chatting with someone on the Internet but the percentage of boys is less than 5 percent. Overall teens spend almost the same time talking on the internet.

Almost the same proportion of girls and boys spend time playing on a game console(30%). More than 40 percent of boys spend between 1 and 3 hours playing games which is much higher than girls by 25 percent. Also, 10 percent of boys spend more than 4 hours playing games but girls who spend more than 4 hours is less than a percent.
