The graph below illustrates the payment per year for doctors and other professions in seven countries in 2004.
Overall, the graph displays two lines for doctors and other workers. In general, in every country, the salary for doctors is more than that for other professions.
The U.S. provides 120 thousand dollars for medicine workers, and almost three times less for other specialists. Switzerland pays its doctors around 70 thousand dollars, and 30 thousand dollars less to other professions, which is exactly 40 thousand. Finland gives doctors around 45–50 thousand dollars, and the number for other specialists decreases by half to 20–25 thousand. Germany’s annual pay for other workers is 20 thousand dollars, but for physicians it is almost three times more, which is 60–65 thousand dollars. Czech Republic’s payment stays at the same position as Germany, but the annual pay for doctors is increased by 5%. Italy provides the same amount of money but pays 5% less for medicine workers, compared to Germany. France’s amount of annual pay is 20–25 thousand dollars for other workers, and goes up by almost three times for physicians, which is 70–75 thousand dollars.
