The pie chart depicts the primary causes of land degradation, whilst the table displays three regions and causes of land degradation in percentages.
Overall, it can clearly be seen that over-grazing was a major reason for the deterioration of a land. Among regions, reasons for land degradation in Europe were much frequent in comparison to other given regions.
Upon closer examination, the figures for over-grazing were just over a third which makes it the main reason for the determinal land. In contrast, over-cultivation and deforestation were the reason, which had almost the same percentages, roughly just under a third.
With regard to three regions North America, Europe and Oceania, in Europe the reasons for land degradation were much higher in deforestation and over-cultivation in comparison with the other given regions. With the exception of over-grazing which was the primary cause of land degradation in Oceania. Ultimately, the overall percentages of degradation in North America, Europe and Oceania equaled 5, 23 and 13 percent, respectively.
