Overall, the oldest group (65+) spent the greatest amount of time on leisure, while the 25-44 group recorded the lowest figures for both genders. Men consistently allocated more hours than women in every age category.
Men aged 15-24 and 25-44 spent the least time on leisure activities, with 38 and 35 hours per week respectively. In contrast, the second highest figure is represented by 45-64 age group with 40 hours per week. The 65 and over age group peaked at 55 hours.
For women, the pattern was similar, although the hours were consistently lower than men. Those women aged 25-44 spent 28 hours per week, while the 65+ group recorded the highest figure, at roughly 52 hours. The 15-24 and 45-64 groups shared similar hours with 32 and 35 hours respectively.
