As a general trend, the percentage of households having two or more cars have recorded a persistent rise over the past four decades.
As is observed in 1961,largest number of the population had not purchased any cars with approxiamately 65% , thereafter, a significant plunge was experinced from 65% to around 28% by the year 2001.Additionally,the data of poeple owning one car increased steadly from 1961 at 35% to 50% by 1981, from there hence forth there was a slight drop of around 5% from 1981 to 2001.It is noticable that the figures of those who owned two cars and more rose from 0% in 1961 to 29% by the year 2001 and across all the fourty years a decrease was never experienced.
