Overall, it is clear that there was an upward trend in the figures for aged 30-35 and 35-39. In addition, that was the opposite for other figures.
At the beginning of the period, the UK birth rate of women aged 30-35 recorded at nearly 70 and aged 35-39 recorded at 40. Then there witnessed an increase in both figures. In the next 35-year, the aged group 30-35 increased slowly to nearly 87 while that of the aged group 35-49 experienced a significant rise of around 25 births per 1000 people.
By contrast, the amount of birth rate among UK women aged 25-29, 20-25, under 20 and 40 and over saw a growth in this chart in 1973. Both the figures for aged 20-25 and aged under 20 dropped dramatically between 1973 and 2008. Meanwhile, the birth rate in group 25-29 saw both upward and downward trend to nearly 120 in the next 35-year from 1973 and gradually decreased to 10, seen in that of the 40 and over age range, which was the lowest in over throughout the period.
