The provided line graph delineates the information of the changing rates of three different crimes from 2003-2012 in Newport City center. Overall, it is observed that burglary was most commonly a happening act in 2003 followed by car theft and robbery which were the least.
In 2003, approximately 3500 incidents were reported burglary and peaked in 2004 with more than 3500 making it the most seemingly happening felony. Later, the was a sharp decline in no of cases and by 2008 only around 1000 incidents were filed. The graph was then fluctuating as not more than 1000 cases were reported by 2012.
It is apparently seen that, no. of incidents recorded on car theft levelled off between 2003-2005 with roughly 3000 incidents before gradually decreasing in 2006. We can then notice rapid changes with more or less only 2000 cases filed. It was then observed an upward trend with more than 2500 cases reported in 2012.
