The chart represents the total number of incidents of burglary, car theft and robbery crimes in England and Wales between 2003 to 2012.
All in all, we can find that burglary was the highest, while robbery was the lowest. However, in comparison car theft was in between them.
In detail, burglary was the first crime in numbers at just below 3500 incidents in 2003. Then, it increased to reach its highest peak at just above 3500 incidents.However, it visibly decreased to reach its lowest peak at just above 1000 incidents in 2008. Then, it stayed stabilised during the following years. While, car theft was the second most common crime in quantity at around 2700 incidents. After that, it stayed unchanged between 2004 and 2005. Then, it decreased to just above 2000 incidents in 2006. However, it exceeded burglary to be the first at around 2300 incidents in 2007. Moreover, it fluctuated till it reached just above 2500 incidents. However, it was falling down again in 2011 and 2012.
In contrast, robbery was the third crime category in numbers at just above 500 incidents in 2003. Then, it started to rise but did not reach 1000 incidents during 2004 and 2005. However, it insignificantly decreased at just above 500 incidents in 2006 and stayed the same throughout the following years.
