The graph highlights statistics in three distinct categories of crime—burglary, car theft and robbery, in Panama City during an 8-year period starting from 2010. In general, while the car theft and robbery exhibited relatively similar changes, the burglary experienced markedly divergent trajectory. Moreover, at the end of the timeframe car theft was by far the most common.

In 2010, while for the car theft remaining stable at 3000 incidents, by the next 2 years, 800 crimes were held on by robbery, with a notable increase to 1200. However, witnessing around six-fold drop to 220 in 2015, robbery figures rose again and recovered to the initial point in the last provided year, mirroring same trend on car theft, which also rose back to 3000.

At the beginning of the trend burglary was the type of crime with the largest proportion (3500) till 2011, whereas during the following years underwent dramatic declines to hit a low at just under 1000. After a significant grow to 1500 by 2018, the number maintained at the same level.
