The given line chart illustrates the transition in three different parts of crime ,which include burglary, car theft, and robbery, in Manchester city downtown between 2003 and 2012. It is clear from the graph that the information can be divided into three groups. The burglary showed the most fluctuated down-trend rate over a 10-year period, starting from 2003 to 2012 while the car theft rose continuously and the robbery remained at the same rate with slight changes over the same period of time.
It is apparent that the burglary demonstrated the most frequently occurring crime rate at about 3500 times starting from 2003 and peaking just over 3600 times in 2004 then dramatically shrank in 2005 reaching the lowest point at 1234 times in 2008 before fluctuating moderately until 2012.
Moving on to the next group, the number of car thefts had fluctuated in 2003 to 2008 and then climbed steadily and reached its peak around 2888 times in 2012. Meanswhile, the robbery remained the same roughly 521 times in 2003 and 2012 with the highest rate at approximately 900 times in 2005 and slightly reduce between 2006 and 2008 then fluctuate until 2012.
