The chart depicts the rate of 3 categories among separate age ranges of UK residents in 2004. In general, Food and Drink along with Entertainment had the most significant figures, while Restaurant and Hotel dominated in 1 group age
To begin with, Food and Drink, which were only equal to one third, compared to the highest percentage in the group aged Under 30. Subsequently, UK residents’ spending dramatically rose in the next age groups and reached a huge portion of people over 76 years old. Furthermore, at its highest peak, its rate was the same as Entertainment in the younger group aged 61 to 75.
On the other hand, people under 30 paid their most budget for Restaurants and Hotel, which was just under 15% a bit. After that, its ratio gradually dropped before having a massive decline in the percentage in the two oldest age ranges. Also, from the Middle Ages to the older age group, the rate of restaurants and hotels only played a minority portion in the amount of money spent. Otherwise, Entertainment was the lowest data in the ages of 31 to 45, until received a steady and fast increase in the next age groups and a plummet in the group ages 76+
