Overall, China recorded the highest expenditure on travel, whereas Taiwan had the lowest figure. Moreover, the United States and Germany had almost identical levels of spending, while the remaining countries recorded considerably lower figures.

Looking first at the highest-spending countries, China recorded the highest figure, standing at approximately 110 billion US dollars. It was followed by the United States and Germany, whose figures amounted to around 85 billion each. Meanwhile, the United Kingdom ranked next, recording approximately 55 billion dollars. By contrast, Singapore represented a considerably lower figure, at about 25 billion.

Turning to the remaining countries, South Korea and Hong Kong recorded similar figures, at around 20 billion dollars each. India followed, with approximately 15 billion, while Malaysia accounted for about 12 billion. By contrast, Taiwan represented the smallest figure, at roughly 10 billion US dollars.
