Overall, it can be seen that the figure of boys engaging in all free-time activities is significantly higher compared to girls, with the exception of music which attracts an equal share between both genders.
Looking at the information in more detail, shopping shows a significant gap, as much as 35% of boys devote to this hobby, considerably higher than the proportion of girls (around 7%). A similar scenario can be seen in sports, with the respective figures for boys and girls accounting for nearly 25% and 10.
The gender gap is not that dramatic remaining activities. Computer Games attracts around 17% of Canadian boys, which is slightly higher than 14% . Regarding music, it is the only category which is preferred by both genders equally,just below 20%
