The bar chart illustrates the rate of boys and girls engaged in different activities, namely: sports, computer games, music and shopping. In general, boys were more active in sports, computer games and especially shopping, while the same standings can be observed in the figures for music.
Focusing on a categories with a significant difference first, the percentage of boys engaged in sports composed 26%, which doubled that for girls. Boys which interested in shopping amounted to 35% and showed the highest rate. However, the figure for girls was significantly lower, at approximately one-seventh of that for boys.
In contrast, music is chosen by both genders and the figures for both groups were equal, at 20%.
Computer games were also interest to boys, accounting for 20%, while girls showed a comparable level of interest, at about 18%.
