The bar chart compares the percentage of four different free time activities – sports, computer games, music and shopping – which are favourite among Canadian teenager boys and girls.
Overall, most boys preferred shopping and were active in participating sports, while girls liked listening to music and computer games.
Focusing on boys first, almost 35% of boys chose shopping as a favourite leisure activity, showing the highest proportion. Moreover, sports were the favourite hobby of 25% of males, while music was listened to by around 20%. Additionally, the proportion of playing computer games was equal to 15%.
On the other hand, girls’ fun activities percentage differentiated nearly 5% from each other. The results of music listeners among females were around 20%, the same as men. Furthermore, in computer games, the ratio was equal to about 15%, while activeness in sports was 10%. However, shopping was the least interested by females, showing 5%.
