The bar graph illustrates the causes of worldwide farming land degradation in North America, Europe, and Oceania.
Overall, all the mentinoned causes have detrimental effects on land, whereas over-grazing was the most significant issue in Oceania with no visible effects of over-cultivation. A large portion of land is damaged by deforestation in Europe.
To begin with over-grazing, it destroys around 1.8% land in North America, followed by less than 6% in Europe, and more than 10% in Oceania. Meanwhile, deforestation causes negligible (around 0.2%) destruction of land in North America, followed by a drastic damage to the Europians agricultural land (around 9%), and almost 2% in Oceania.
Over-cultivation accounts for less than 5% of degraded land in North America, and almost near 8% in Europe with no detrimental effect in Oceania. Moreover, other causes that reduce the productivity of land makes up around 0.2% in North America, approximately 6.2% in Europe, and a small percentage of (nearly 0.3%) land in Oceania.
