Overall, low- and high-earning groups experienced a rise in their figures, while mid-earning groups’ statistics remained approximately unchanged.
The number of households related to the highest-earning group was just under 30 million in 2007. It experienced a trough at 23 million in 2011, and in the end, surged to over 33 million in 2015. In contrast, The second-highest earners, with the fewest numbers compared to other groups, fluctuated slightly under 15 million during the entire period.
Likewise, the third-highest income earners’ numbers didn’t experience any substantial change during the period and the figure stayed constant at 21 million. Lastly, the two lowest-budget groups saw the same trend. They were at 25 and 23 million, peaked at 28 and 29 million, and eventually, decreased to 27 and 28 million respectively.
