The bar chart depicts the numbers of females and males who chose full-time education or part-time education in Britain from 1970 to 1990.
Overall, a proportion of part-time education is higher compared to that of full-time, regardless of their gender. Females constituted the largest proportion in both categories at the end of the period.
At the beginning of the period, the quantities of males who chose part-time education made up 1000, a little bit higher than that of females which constructed approximately 720. In 1980, women’s fraction experienced a slight rose to around 800, while the opposite is true for mens, comprising about 820. At the end of the period, quantities of men’s grew slightly to approximately 850, similarly, women had a dramatic increase to largely 1100.
For full time education, men comprised roughly 100, while women accounted for around 60. In the middle of the time, males and females experienced a growth to roughly 120 and 200 respectively, until emitting the same numbers of individuals, more or less 230, in 1990.
