The chart illustrates the amount of male and female people in further education in the UK in three timelines and whether they were studying full-time or part-time.
Overall, it is clear that females’ number in full-time in the latest period was higher than males’. In Contrast, other figures of full-time education were higher than females’.
Initially, the males’ figure shown in 1970/71, illustrates 1,000,000 in part-time education and approximately 100,000 in full-time education. The females’ bars indicated about 800,000 in part-time education and less than 100,000 in full-time education. Moreover, another bar demonstrated approximately 820,000 men and approximately 780,000 women in part-time education in 1980/81, in addition the full-time education showed 200,000 women and a little bit lower than in men’s number, about 180,000 men in 1980/81.
Finally, the last period illustrated approximately 900,000 men and the peak result of 1,100,000 women in part-time education. In Contrast, men also showed the peak result of 250,000 men in full-time education and women’s figure was the same 250,000.
