Overall, backpacking was most popular among younger tourists, while package holidays appealed more to older individuals. The majority of tourists reported a high level of satisfaction with their holiday experience.
According to the table, the age group 18-30 showed a strong preference for backpacking, with 61% choosing this option. A smaller proportion opted for weekend getaways (28%), while only 7% chose package holidays. In contrast, the 41-59 age group largely preferred package holidays, with 58% booking this type. Only 8% chose backpacking, and 32% opted for weekend getaways.
The 31-39 group had a more balanced distribution across the three categories: 34% chose weekend getaways, 24% went backpacking, and 21% selected package holidays. Among the “Other” category, package holidays were the most common (16%), while the remaining options were less favored.
Turning to the pie chart, the majority of tourists were very satisfied with their holiday (83%). A further 14% were satisfied, and only 3% expressed dissatisfaction.
