The graph illustrates how much a drug company’s total sales were changed across three regions, namely Asia, Europe, and America, between 2002 and 2006.
Overall, there were decreases in the propotions of sales in both Europe and America, while Asia witnessed an opposite trend. It is also noticeable that America initially maintained the leading positon, but it was surpassed by Asia in the final year of the period.
The percentage of the company’s sales in the USA was by far the highest, at 41% in 2002, after which it saw a slight decline to hit the bottom of 27% in 2004 before recovering to 30% in the end of the period. Meanwhile, Europe initially ranked the second position, contributing about one third of the company’s sales, and then gradually increased. Despite reaching its peak at 38% in 2004, it experienced a decreasing trend, ending at 30% in 2006, equalling that of America in the same year.
On the other hand, sales from Asia followed an opposite trajectory. Despite starting at the lowest level among the three regions, it then rose gradually to 37%, surpassing that of America before reaching 40% in 2006, which was the same amount as America initial’s propotion.
