The bar chart compares the proportion of drug company’s sales in America, Europe and Asia between 2002 and 2006.
Overall, while America and Europe experienced a decrease in drug sales income, there was and opposite tendency in the case of Asia. Furthermore, Asia became the region that highest drug sales income in the year 2006.
Beginning of the period, USA accounted for the greatest drug revenue region at 41 percent, and significantly dropped to 27 percent in the first half of period. This figure slightly increased of about 3 percent from 2005 to 2006 period. Moreover, although there was a gradually increased trend in Europe continent from 34 percent to 38 percent between 2002 to 2006, this percentage decreased by 8 percent in the rest of period.
In contrast, Asia was the only region that increased their revenue continuously. Asia had the lowest drug sales revenue in 2002 at one-fourth, and this figure increased by 5 percent in 2003. Rest of the period, the proportion of drug company’s revenue increased by one-tenth and reach percent in 2006.
