The graph illustrates the rates of people residing in the cities globally and region-wise. The percentage of the population ranges from 0 to 100 %, showcasing the living area of various developed and developing countries in the years 1975, 2020, and 2050.
Firstly, in the year 1975, only one-third of the world’s population was inclined to the cities whereas, in 2020 more than half of the world’s population was attracted towards the modernized lifestyle which will be increased by 70% in 2050. A similar rise is observed in different regions except for Oceania where 70% of citizens reside in upgraded areas and there is a minor notable fall of 10% in 2020 while again in 2050 the boom of 20% will be measured.
Furthermore, there is an evident consistent increase contrary to Oceania. The lowest number of urbanized was noticed in Asia in 1975 compared to a maximum number of more than two-thirds in North America. Likewise in 2020 Africans were less than 50% as compared to 80% of North Americans. The Prediction rate of 2050 demonstrates the least African than the most North Americans.
