the given column charts indicates the percentages of four different matters of the domestic waste that was recycled in three different periods (1992, 1997 and 2002)
overall, the bars of glass and paper was dominant in the field of recycling, while the other two (plastic and cans) were not being recycled as much as those mentioned before. Meanwhile, over the years in almost every single field the upward trend can be seen, but the cans recycling saw a significant decrease in 1997.plastic bags, at the same time, was being recycled for only 10% in 1992, it rose very slightly to 12% and remained stable for the remaning period.
in the beginning of the period (1992), the amount paper and glass in terms of recycling was the same at a little over 10 percent, which then rose remarkably high. The chart of the cans was the highest in 1992, before the recycling process of the cans decreased severely from 18% to 13% in the span of 5 years and after that, the process gained its power of increasing and increased to over 11% by the end of the given period.
However, the biggest changes in the graph could be seen in the fields of glass and paper, which were started their journey from the same point with the same percentage (15%), the recycling paper products overcame the glasses by 10% in 1997. At the end of the period, the glass recycling got its peak at a little over 50%, overpassing the trend of paper which conducted nearly 40% in 2002.
