The chart illustrates the ratio of recycled households in one city from 1992 to 2002.
Overall, throughout the given period 2002 has shown improvements in recycling plastic, cans, paper, and glass.
In 1992 the initial number of recycled plastic, cans, paper and glass was 10%, around 18%, 25%, roughly 18% respectively. However, in 1997 plastic had a tiny increase roughly in 2%, in comparison to 1992. Also, it is noticeable that cans slightly decreased approximately by 5%. All remaining waste, only glass grew significantly around 10%, but paper had grown only by 6 percent.
On the other hand, after 10 years, the situation changed dramatically for cans, paper and glass, except plastic that stayed the same as in 1992. Glass reached almost 50% share of recycled waste. Paper had grown slightly but not as much as glass, it underwent only a 9% increase. The same goes for cans from 1997 it had increased by 10%.
