The bar chart illustrates the survey’s outcome about the habits of coffee and tea buying and drinking in five different cities of Australia.
Obviouly, the percentage of people buying fresh coffee in last 4 weeks was almost the highest in the 4 cities except from Adelaide, whereas the opposite was true for the rate of people who went to a coffee shop for coffee or tea.
As can be seen, residents in the 3 cities namely Sydney, Melbourne and Hobart tended to drink fresh coffee in last 4 weeks. The figure for Melbourne was around 64%, which held the highest position in the 5 cities. That of Sydney and Hobart was respectively 61% and 63%. The proportion of residents buying instant coffee in last 4 weeks in Hobart was about 54%, higher than Melbourne at 53% and Sydnet at 46%. The percentage of people going straight to coffee shop for tea and coffee did not have big gap in Sydney and Melbourne, while that of Hobart was 10% lower.
The rate of dwellers coming to a café for coffee or tea in last 4 weeks in Brisbane and Adelaide was almost the same, at approximately 34%. The figure for people buying instant coffee was 53% in Brisbane and 50% in Adelaide. Residents living in Brisbane bought more fresh coffee than in Adelaide, as its rate was 51%, 10% higher than the rate of Adelaide.
