The bar chart illustrates the most popular eight countries among British honeymooners which was surveyed by 2010.
Overall, it is clear that Asia countries, such as Thailand and Bali, were the favourite places for the newly married couples while European countries like Spain, Paris and The Lake District were the least visited ones.
First of all, Thailand was at the top of the list, which represents 1410 couples choosing that destination for their honeymoon trip, followed by Bali as a second place, with the survey results of 1335. Then, Costa Rica and The Maldives were ranked fourth and fifth, showing 750 and 600 respectively.
Furthermore, 432 out of 5000 newlyweds preferred to visit The Green Islands for wedding trip whereas there were 209 and 140 just married couples who chose to travel Paris and Spain. Finally, only 129 couples traveled to The Lake District which can be regarded as the lowest popular place for romantic trips.
