The chart illustrates the amount of the telephone calls in Denmark which allocated three different categories over the period from 1995 to 2004.
Overall, the national landline is the most demanding line of the telephone calls and showed a dramatic decrease, albeit the steady growth until 2002. Similarly, the international landline increased gradually over the whole time period, while the line of mobile demonstrates steady growth until 2000, after that this line rose rapidly.
First and foremost, the national landline reported exceptionally higher figures across all other types of lines. Regarding the two lines such as national and international landline, the former accounted for 12 million minutes in 1995, whilst the latter illustrates twice less than the national line in this year. Another noteworthy feature was a rapid fall of the national landline from 2001, although it demonstrated the higher figures until that year, reaching 16 million minutes. The international landline showed a steady growth in the period from 1995 to 2004.
Examining data more closely, it is obvious that the development of mobile line in Denmark was high which started at nearly 2 million and increased up to 12 million minutes. Particularly, we saw at first glance gradual growth until 2000, but in the new century the usage of this type ascended sharply. Interestingly, in 2004 mobile line overtook the national and international landline thanks to the progress of technology
