The line graph compares the total volume of telephone calls in one nation, named Denmark, separated into three categories: national landline, international landline and mobile phone between 1995 and 2004.
Overall, mobile remained the least represented region until 2000 before showing a significant upward trend while national landline declined dramatically after increasing slightly. In addition, international landline remained relatively stable during the period.
In 1995, national landline contributed the largest group of telephone calls, at around 12, followed by international landline, at approximately 6. By contrast, mobile recorded the smallest number, with just under 2.
Over the next decade, the number of national landline grew steadily, surpassing 14 million minutes by 2001, but dropped rapidly to 8 million minutes in 2004. Similarly, mobile phones experienced a further increase, at around 12 million minutes in 2004, overtaking international landline and making it roughly double its initial level. Notably, international landline rose gradually from 6 million minutes to just under 8 million minutes, showing minor fluctuation over the period.
