In 2016, the year witnessed a slight increase in the exports earning of petroleum to $64 billions and remaining the highest figure in this chart. Meanwhile, the value of exports in engineered items increased significantly to 61 and the figure for textiles rose to 32. In contrast, gems and jewellery saw a slight drop to 40 in the export receiving and the figure for agricultural products remained unchanged over the period shown.
